Lopez Island School District is seeking qualified solar contractors to design and install rooftop photovoltaic systems at its School Road campus. The project, funded through Washington State's Community Solar Expansion Program and federal clean energy tax credits, aims to reduce energy costs and reinvest savings into programs supporting students. A mandatory pre-bid site walk (virtual option available) is scheduled for March 31, 2026 at 2:30 PM.
Submit hard copies of proposals to Superintendent Brady Smith by April 14, 2026 by 2:00 PM.
Any bid received after the time set for opening the bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened and shall receive no consideration by the district. Please plan ahead as deliveries to Lopez Island may take longer than mainland deliveries.

Special Note: The Original RFP pdf that was posted with this notice stated that proposals had to be emailed by the deadline. That is incorrect.
