
Lopez School District welcomes new interim administrators beginning January 4, 2021.
Dr. Carl Bruner,
Interim Superintendent
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Carl Bruner has worked as a K-12 educator in the state of Washington since 1983 serving in a variety of roles, including school psychologist, program director, special education director, alternative high school principal, curriculum director, and assistant superintendent. He retired last June as superintendent for the Mount Vernon School District, a position he held for 16 years.
Dr. Bruner holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a Masters and Doctoral degree from the University of Washington. The parents of 5 adult children, he and his wife live in Mount Vernon.
