As the daughter of two educators, I spent my childhood immersed in educational values. I realized as a young child that education was not only important for my life, but that I needed to share those values with others. Through my experience within the classroom I have spent considerable time designing, implementing and reinforcing curriculum. I understand the importance of inquiry based learning within any classroom and I look forward to any opportunity to support my student’s educational interests.
I am a graduate of Western Washington University with endorsements in History, English/Literature and a minor in Social Studies. I know that my work ethic, sense of flexibility, and passion for education and teaching will be a tremendous asset to the Lopez Island Middle School students.
I understand what it means to live in a close community on an island as I have lived on Orcas Island with my husband. I am excited to be apart of this community, students and staff.
